Please join us for a special performance by Leon Joseph Littlebird, an internationally renowned musician, recording artist, and performer. A third-generation native of Colorado with ancestral roots in both Pioneer and Native American cultures, his multi-instrumentalist style is called “Native Colorado Music”.  Audiences are captivated by his deep, sonorous singing voice and his masterful playing of guitar and Native flute.

He performs on world-class stages all over the country, and has recorded 10 albums in his lengthy career. Recently, he co-composed a concerto for classical string quartet and indigenous instruments titled “Anthem for the Ancestors”, which he performs with Carpe Diem String Quartet.

Leon is currently recording and performing with seven-time Grammy nominee Wil Clipman. Their recent collaboration, “Shadow Chant”, was released in Fall 2017.  He received a Wurlitzer Foundation Fellowship for Music in 2014, and has shared the stage with a broad range of highly-acclaimed musicians representing every genre from Classical to Folk, Indigenous to Celtic, Blues and Rock.

In concert he will play numerous instruments including guitar, Native American flutes and percussion. His songwriting, vocal, and guitar styles have been compared to Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, and Eric Clapton.  Explore Leon Littlebird’s creative world further at www.LittlebirdMusic.com.
